Hi

I'm fond of Harppon and a Mac user

I downloaded the DB2000 v10.0.0
Installed its componants into the Annex Data directory (replacing the former ones)
Started the game: OK
Started the Tutorial V: Ok
Put my scenario (designed with Scenario Editor on my dual boot MacBookPro under Windows XP) into the directory Scenario (which is in the directory Annex Data)
Started my scenario: KO

After that, I installed the scenario into the battleset directory: same result
I tried with a standard scenario (CHINA07.SCN): it works

What's wrong ???

The DB2K will only run with scenarios that was created with this database, so if you built your scen using one of the non-Warfaresim wack databases it will not run. Either you need to restore your old db or recreate the scenario with the DB2K :D

Hi Ragnar

I'm using for both version (Mac and PC) the same DB2k (at the same level 10.0.0) as already seen with Don.
I tried my own designed scenarios (cause I did two, one a little bit heavy and after that one with only two opponents units):
- it works under XP (with H3.0)
- it doesn't work under Mac OSX (with H3 2000)
I'd a look at the scenario structure: there are some differences between the official scenarios and my own designed ones.
Anyway I wonder if the Mac version H3 is fully compatible with self designed scenarios.

Alex

Ok, I've followed the link.
First of all: impossible to access to the Game Engine (Upgrade)
Secondly: I've got the 3.5.7, and I can't get the 3.6.x version (I have to say that I'd prefer just to update mine than buy a new one since I've already bought a PC version (for the scenario editor) and for the moment it doesn't satisfy me :(
Thirdly : I admit that I'm about to give up. It's a pity because my dream was to design some scenarios with french naval forces :(

For obvious reasons, everyone here on Warfaresims (ex-HarpoonHQ) gave up on Harpoon several years ago...

I recommend that you wait for the Red Pill sim. You'll be able to run the new simulator on your Mac if you install a virtual machine running Windows XP or Windows 7, no problem!

And while we wait for the Red Pill release, maybe you can help me out with some technical details on French units for the Red Pill database?

Yes I can (joke !)

I've got some friend (in fact my best friend) who is one of the finest french specialist about the subject.
unfortunately he doesn't speak (nor write) english but I do

Anyway my last (?) hope is to find some kind guy who could give (sell ?) me the 3.6.x version for Mac.
