Argentina vs. Britain

Date/Time: 25th November, 1977 / 22:00:00 Zulu
Playable Sides: Argentina

Operation Journeyman was a Royal Navy operation sending a naval group (including 1 SSN, 2 frigates and 2 auxiliary ships) to the South Atlantic in reaction to the creation of a base with 50 scientists on Southern Thule. Later a military base on Thule was set up by the Argentinians.

The action was stopped by diplomatic means.

What if the Royal Navy was ordered to attack the Argentinian base?

To Cmdr Argentinian forces in Base Corbeta Uruguay

Diplomatic talks ended without any agreement, it looks like the British will go on their intention to occupy our base, destroyers D 26 Hipolito Bouchard and D 25 Segui are to patrol around the islands, submarine S 31 Salta will intercept the Royal Navy formation.

Three helicopters from 1stHeliSqn armed with AS.11 are ready to operate from provisional heliport.

ROE: Weapons free, the British government has been advised not to close our base under risk of being attacked; there are several fishermen in the area, positive identification before open fire.

We need to prevent the Royal Navy ships to close in our base.

Good Luck!

—Victory Conditions— The auxiliary ships transport troops to invade the base, both auxiliary ships must be sunk; British wins if any of those ships arrive to the island. —
